There was double medals collected at the national novice cross-country in Cork as the women’s team collected a very impressive silver and the men a solid bronze. Brian Fay has broken the Irish indoor 5,000m record in 13:16.77 at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Opener in Boston. Fay’s time takes over nine seconds off the record set by Barry Keane on December 4th 2021. The new records come within a month of Fay finishing 13thin the NCAA cross country championships.
