Eric Favors just missed out on the shot put final at the 2022 European Championships in Munich. Favors finished 15th in Monday morning’s qualifying round. The top 12 progressed to the final. The national track and field season came to a conclusion on Sunday with the national track & field league final in Tullamore. There were medals a plenty at the national masters championship on Saturday. Zoe Quinn took gold in the W45 3000m in 10 minutes 38 seconds. Niall Power won the M45 3000m steeplechase in 12 minutes 59 seconds. Ciaran O’Coigligh (M70) took silver in the 400m in 86.13 seconds and bronze in the 100m in 17.69 seconds.
