Blaithin Sheil led the Raheny Shamrock women’s team to Leinster intermediate cross country gold, while the men’s intermediate team took silver in Kilkenny. Kim O’Hare set a new club record in the long jump while the Raheny Shamrock Men’s team sit in second place after the opening day of the Indoor Track and Field league. Cillian Kirwan won the 800 metres in 1:56.16, points six seconds clear of Crusaders Kevin Woods. Eric Favors opened 2019 setting a new club indoor shot put record of 17.92 metres when finishing second at the Clemson Orange and Purple Elite meet. Favors best attempt of the meet came in round three, having thrown 16.67m and 17.53 previously. Ashinia Miller took gold with a best attempt of 19.82 metres.
