Mid-Week Track Round-Up

A number of Raheny athlete’s took part in the Dublin graded meet on Wednesday night in Morton Stadium. Iseult O’Donnell won the 800 metre A2 race in 2:15.25, with Aoibhinn McGoldrick second in the A1 race posting 2:15.58 and Blaithin Sheil posting 2:25.33. Sittuk Continues To Rule The Roads

Freddy Situk continued his road running reign when he claimed the Kilcock 5K on Friday night posting 14 minutes 52 seconds. Freddy was some three seconds clear of Niall Shanahan in second place. Cillian O’Leary took fourth place in 15 minutes six seconds. Others who ran in Kilcock were, Gabriel Byrne 19:15, Orla Lambe 21:32, Emer O’Gorman 23:54 and Dave Brady 26:57. Silver For Bermingham and O’Hare

Kim O’Hare and Conor Birmingham both landed silver at the junior and under-23 national championships on Saturday afternoon. Kim O’Hare took silver in the junior women’s triple jump with a best of 10.96 metres, the event was won by Waterford’s Emily O’Mahony with a best of 11.13 metres.
