It was Women’s day for Raheny Shamrock at the national masters cross country as Kate Purcell won the women’s race outright Purcell’s victory led the team home to gold and a total of three gold, three silver and two bronze medal wins. Kearney Scores 3000m Indoor Victory
On Wednesday night Niamh Kearney won the BMC Women’s 3,000 metres indoors A Race in Lee Valley. Kearney posted 9:25.27 for victory some three seconds clear of Alex Barbour who posted 9:28.57 for second place. At the national 50km road race in Doneda Colm Cassidy took 16th place in three hours 28 minutes and 26 seconds. Gavin Judge posted 4:43.25, a very well done to both Colm and Gav.
