Brian Fay’s Ireland Claim Euro Cross Silver

Brian Fay starred as Ireland claimed a brilliant European Cross Country Championship men’s silver medal in Lagoa. Fay produced an inspirational run as the lead Irish man for the majority finishing in 11th place, the best ever finish by a Raheny athlete in this championship. Weekend Road Racing Round-up

Michael Boyle was first Raheny athlete home at the Run Run Rudolph Half Marathon in Offaly clocking 1:26:40. Michael was followed home by Kieran Boyle in 1:38:12 and Eileen Walsh in 1:39:58. Waslsh was third lady overall behind Brenda Whelan (No Club) 1:33:15 & Charlotte Kearney (Donadea AC) 1:36:27.
