Kate Purcell landed the national five mile road title at the Irish Runner 5 in the Phoenix Park today. Brian Fay took an excellent seventh place in the NCAA 5,000m final on Friday night in the famous Hayward Field, Eugene. Fay clocked 13 minutes 31.39 seconds to round off a brilliant first season for Washington State. The race was won by Olin Hacker of Wisconsin in 13:27.73.
