Brian Fay Speeds Up Irish Charts

Brian Fay moved to fourth in the Irish all-time mile indoor records when he posted 3:52.03 finishing second at the Dempsey indoor meet. Fay’s time ranks as the fastest time by an Irishman – indoors or out – since Mark Carroll’s 3:50.62 in 2000. The National indoor Record stands at 3:49.78 and was set by Eamonn Coghlan in 1983. The indoor season continued a pace over the weekend with both the AAI Games and the University indoor championships (IUAA).
