A very mixed day at round two of the national indoor league in Athlone TUS arena. Niamh Kearney won the women’s 1500 metres in 4:28.17. While Triona Nic Dhonaill posted 68.39 seconds in the 400m to collect four points. Favors Sets New Irish Indoor Shot Put Record

Eric Favors broke his own Irish indoor shot put record, throwing 19.99m, finishing fourth in the early hours of this morning at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa. Favors broke the 20-meter mark several times during last year’s outdoor season. The season made Favors Ireland’s number one shot put thrower.
