Smyth Sets New Club 100 Metres Record

Mark Smyth set a new club 100 metre record of 10.58 seconds when he won out at the Athletics Ireland micro meet at CIT today. Smyth improved his club record by point 02 seconds. In race two Smyth finished second in 10.60 seconds, just point 01 second behind Stephen Gaffney. Eric Favors sets new club record

Eric Favors set a new club shot put record of 19.85 metres at the SEC Championships in Bryan-College station Texas on Friday night. Favors took second place with his new personal best of 19.85m with Isaac Odugbesan winning out with a best of 20.20 metres. Fogarty Eighth At European Throws

Niamh Fogarty took eighth place in the discus at the U23 European throws cup in Split, Croatia with a best of 50.99 metres. Fogarty produced her best throw with her third attempt having thrown two no marks. Fogarty then threw 46.55m, 48.94m and 45.95m.
