The World Athletics championships get underway in Tokyo tonight. It is another special championships for Raheny Shamrock athletic club as Eric Favors, Sophie Becker and Brian Fay will all represent Ireland. The first Raheny Shamrock Shot Put Classic was well received on Saturday afternoon. Rectory Park on Wades Avenue, Raheny hosted the Shot Put Classic and saw a big turn out with athlete’s from across the country taking part.
