Fay Sets New Club 5000 Metres Record
Brian Fay set a new club 5,000 metres record of 13.44.37 in Lucerne, Switzerland on Tuesday evening. Fay’s time broke his own club record of 13.51.59 set last October in the Netherlands. It’s been a good week for Fay who won national steeplechase gold on Saturday morning and still a lot left for him this season.

Mark Smyth took national senior 200m silver as he clocked a personal best of 20.97 seconds. Brian Fay and Niamh Fogarty landed gold on day two of the national track and field championships in Santry while Cillian Kirwan took 800 metre bronze.
