Clohisey makes Berlin Grade

Mick Clohisey set a new personal best as he confirmed his place on the Irish team for Berlin 2018. Clohisey clocked two hours 14 minutes and 14 minutes and 49 seconds for 12th place overall. The time is well inside the Athletics Ireland standard of 2:17.00 for the European Championships in Berlin. Robert Frewen won out in Malahide posting 17 minutes one second with Paul Frewen fifth in 19:17, while Eddie Harrison posted 21:11 and Steven Rowe 26:13. McGoldrick Takes Leinster Schools Bronze

Aoibhinn McGoldrick landed senior girls bronze at the Leinster schools cross country on Sunday. McGoldrick of Holy Faith Clontarf progresses to the All-Ireland schools cross country with Coláiste Íosagáin’s Niamh Ni Chiardha and gold medallist Sarah Healy of Hold Child Killiney.
