Dooney Books World Half-Marathon Ticket

Kevin Dooney booked a place at this year’s IAAF World Half Marathon championship after posting a personal best in Barcelona. Dooney posted 64 minutes 57 seconds to finish in 24th place to smash his personal best by over one minute for the distance as Ethiopia’s Mule Wasihun set a new course record of 59:44. Silver Lining for Golden Kealy

Annette Kealy landed women’s over 50 gold in the national masters cross country championships in Clanbridge Co.Galway. Kealy finished 15th overall and led the W50 team to the silver medals. Kealy combined with Orla Gomerly (58th), Adrienne Atkins (104th) and Bernie Manley (163rd) to total 340 points.
