Smyth Makes Euro Semi-Final
Mark Smyth made an impressive European under 20 championship debut finishing fourth in heat one of the 200 metres and progressing to the semi-final automatically. Smyth ran a strong opening 100 metres before trying slightly in the final 80 metres to finish fourth in 21.63 seconds and safely progress to the semi-final. Strutt wins Cork City Sports 3000
Eoin Strutt secured a notable victory in the prestigious Cork City Sports on Wednesday evening. Strutt landed the 3,000 metre Open Men Leisureworld title in eight minutes 39.10 seconds just ahead of home towners Youghal’s Fergal Curtin (8:40.64) and Chris Mintern of Leevale.
