The national track and field season came to a conclusion on Sunday with the national track & field league final in Tullamore. Not a great day from a Raheny perspective, but some good performances overall. The men’s team finished seventh in the national league final. There were medals a plenty at the national masters championship on Saturday. Zoe Quinn took gold in the W45 3000m in 10 minutes 38 seconds. Niall Power won the M45 3000m steeplechase in 12 minutes 59 seconds. Ciaran O’Coigligh (M70) took silver in the 400m in 86.13 seconds and bronze in the 100m in 17.69 seconds. The 2022 Lord Mayor of Raheny Two mile series has now just three remaining races. There is further competition as more athlete’s complete the required seven races.
