Clohisey rules Ballycotton

Mick Clohisey landed the biggest road race title outside Dublin with victory in the prestigious Ballycotton 10 Mile on Sunday. The Rio 2016 Olympian put Clonliffes Sergiu Ciobanu and Clonmel’s Kevin Mansuell to the sword around the halfway stage to power to victory in 49 minutes 20 seconds. Raheny Shamrock Athlete’s produced great displays of vigour and courage as they competed in the All-Ireland Schools Cross Country in Mallusk on March 11th. Brian Fay was just outside the medals in the senior boys race, finishing in fifth place. Fay was racing for Belvedre College. Karl Meehan 18:18 won the Fr. Collins Park park run clocking 18 minutes 18 seconds with Keith Comiskey taking second place in 20:01. Sue O’Toole posted 25:38 with Sarah Conroy clocking 25:44.
