Fay Takes NCAA 13th Place

It was lucky number 13 for Brian Fay in the NCAA cross country championship in Stilwater, Oklahoma. Fay followed up his west regional title with a 13th-place finish, earning his second-straight cross country All-America honour. Women’s Team Take National Marathon Silver

The Raheny Shamrock senior women’s team took national marathon silver at last month’s Dublin marathon. The team of Kate Purcell, Fiona Stack and Aine Crimin clocked 8:55.19 behind Donore Harriers but better than Clonmel to take silver. Fay Takes NCAA West Regional Title

Brian Fay claimed the NCAA West Regional men’s cross-country championship on Friday continuing his excellent 2022. The All-American Fay, competing for Washington State ran a 28:17 for the 10,000-meters course at Chambers Bay at University Place. The top two women’s and men’s teams claimed a spot in the NCAA championship next weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Washington was third in both races. Full report via the Seattle Times.
